[…] got some (actually, 25) lovely and free cheat sheets for web devs. Check out SQLChicken's SQL University!  It's all online, all free, and looks pretty cool (I'm going to get caught up this […]

David, I’m not sure what the hold up is as I signed up individually as well. I will email them and find out what the status is. I had asked them to setup a dedicated lab for SQL University as well so if your individual one doesn’t come in you should be able to use that one. I’ll keep you posted.

David, I spoke to Sarah and looks like they had a technical glitch on their side. From now on all emails to them should get there fine. They have since resent confirmation emails to everyone who signed up so check your mail (also check your spam folder as they said emails from admin(at)sqlserverbeta(dot)com ) might go there.

[…] SQL University, known as #SQLU on Twitter, is the brain child of Jorge Segarra, who blogs at The SQL Update Statement, and can also be found championing the Social side of DBAness as @SQLChicken on Twitter. The community owes Jorge a deep debt of gratitude for making #SQLU possible. The gathering and dissemination of knowledge is one of the highest achievements to which a community can aspire, and it takes great leadership to do such, which is why, I am sure, Jorge has been nominated for the prestigious Exceptional DBA Award. Here is where you can define what memory pressure is. There are some great articles online about what each option is used for. One of the best (Exploring the RSReportServer.config File) was written by Jes Schultz Borland (Blog | Twitter) for SQL University. […]

[…] SQL University is one of the greatest concepts I’ve seen in the SQL Community. Thanks to Jorge Segarra (Blog | Twitter)for coming up with it and organizing it. Today we are going to talk about something dear and close to the concept of SQL University. Blogging! Blogs are an important part of the concept of SQL University. With them we can easily bring this wealth of knowledge in the course syllabus format with writers from the SQL Community in a vast geographical range and range of expertise. […]
